English: The Empire State Building, seen from the north on Fifth Avenue. It is on Fifth Avenue, between 33rd and 34th Streets in New York City. It was built in 1930-1931, and is 102 stories high. It was the tallest building in the world until the North Tower of the World Trade Center in New York was completed in 1972. The height is 1,224 ft (373 m) to the 102nd floor tower, and 1,454 ft (443 m) including television antenna and lightning rod. The observation deck on the 86th floor is 1,050 ft (320 m) above street level.
