[edit]- We have seen that in Burmah the Hindu settlers have a tendency to become absorbed in the Buddhist population arround them, but this is not so with the Muhammadans. There are scattered communities of Muhammadans who have been settled in Burmah for several generations and still retain their faith unimpaired. When a Muhammadan marries a Burmese wife he brings up his children in his own religion. The offsprings of these mixed marriages are known as Zerbadis.
